Johnny B's problem of blowing ESC is caused by the Lipo being the equivalent of 10 cells when the std NimH battery is 8 cells. It sounds like perhaps your ESC wasn't up to par to begin with. I can't think of anything besides a defect that might cause what you described. Sorry about your unfortunate outcome. I went with a low mAH strictly because of weight... The price reduction is a nice side effect but honestly, I can run my cub for what seems like 40 minutes (I haven't timed it) on a full charge.
