24 Is Taking Heat This Year

Jack Bauer and the gang are in unfamiliar territory this year, right in the cross-hairs of critics that is. Everyone is dumping on this season and the creators are promising big changes next year… Uh, oh.. Just don’t change too much!

Probably hurt by Heroes as well. I havent touched season 6 yet (or 5 for that matter)(but they’re all downloaded). Too many other good shows I gotta watch (criminal minds, house, the office, csi, heroes, etc). 24 is my off season show… plus then I can watch 17 hours straight- no waiting on the cliffhangers.

For some reason I couldn’t get into Heroes after I watched the first two episodes.. Honestly, I think I just didn’t like the idea of being dragged around by another TV show.
For some reason I remember you saying that same response when asked about LOST.. Am I remembering that correctly?

Well, I heard LOST was a super cliffhanger, and even at the end of season the cliffhanger wasn’t resolved. That would drive me nuts. I have all the eps of lost, and I suppose I’ll watch em someday.

As far as Heroes goes, I did the same thing. Watched a few, didn’t really got into it, but after a few friends said they enjoyed it, I started watching again, and it got much better mid-season.

Yeah I think the press/word-of-mouth reaction to the end of season one of LOST didn’t help getting new people on board. I’ve heard a lot of people say the exact same thing you just did.

That’s one of the things I like about 24, it wraps up (for the most part) at the end of every season.

Maybe one day when I’m old and gray with a broken hip I’ll have time on my hands to give Heroes another go…. er maybe not.
